Company History
Cerimon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. was founded in November 2004 by Paul Sekhri with Ansbert Gadicke and Luke Evnin from MPM Capital. In October 2005, Cerimon completed a $70M financing with MPM Capital, Nomura Phase4 Ventures, OrbiMed Advisors and Stanford University. In its first year of business, Cerimon secured rights to two products, Simulect® and a diclofenac patch, for testing in new indications.

- March 2007 Cerimon initiates a Phase IIb study of Simulect® for the treatment of ulcerative colitis in moderate-to-severe, steroid-refractory patients
- February 2006 Cerimon acquires exclusive worldwide rights to Simulect® (basiliximab) for the treatment of Inflammatory Bowel Disease
